Alternative Names Anglo-Friesian/Germanic: Perth Old Norse: Pertho, Peorth Old English: Peorth Other Names/Spellings: Perthu, Peordh, Perthro, Perthrold, Pertra
Perthro equates to the letter P in our common alphabet.
Perthro is the sixth rune of the second Aett and is one of mystery. The one who seeks the mysteries of the Universe through the understanding of synchronicity. In relation to fate, Perthro is said to mean lot-box, gaming-piece or dice-cup. This not only fits the shape of the rune, but also hints to the use as a container in which all other runes are kept. This rune symbolizes a vessel or cup, keeping everything hidden, all those mysteries that can only be uncovered after initiation from old to the new. In this way, it is also associated with the womb, uterus or vulva as symbology for holding, nurturing, containing and giving ‘birth’ to new concepts and life.
Perthro is the rune used for divination. The rune holds the disclosure of a secret. Keywords:a gamble, a mystery, an unknown force, fog, hidden knowledge to be discovered, blinded by self imagery, making sense of random forces whom are part of the whole, divination.
This video contains one of my rune poems that can be used for meditation with the energy of Perthro.
Alternative Names Anglo-Friesian/Germanic: Ihwaz Old Norse : Eihwaz Old English: Eeoh Other Names/Spellings: Eoh, Erwaz, Ihwar, Ihwas, Iwar, Iwaz, Yr
Eihwaz equates to the letters I and æ in our common alphabet.
Eihwaz is often associated with “Yggdrasil”, the Norse World Tree. This rune together with Jera holds the center of the elder futhark rune cycle. It is the spine of the universe. Eihwaz is the gateway into other realms of reality going up and down the tree of life, Yggdrasil. All rites of passage, for example those marking the transition into adulthood, contain symbolism of ‘death’ in which one’s former Self dies and makes way for the new to set in. The energy of Eihwaz can potentially be applied to any area of life, especially the inner world of Man, from the subconscious all the way to the higher self. Move forward through fear and doubt, if you remain true to yourself and keep to your own path, you will soon find yourself within a new daylight.
Eihwaz is the rune of continuity between all opposing forces. Keywords:"endurance, initiation, encoding, life & death, near death experience, enlightenment, the tree of life, essence of being, continuity, in motion, blueprint, soul family"

Alternative Names Anglo-Friesian/Germanic: Jera Old Norse: Ár Old English: Ger Other Names/Spellings: Jer, Jeran, Yer, Jara, Jeraz
Jera equates to the letters J and Y in our common alphabet.
The energy of Jera embraces ‘Movements in Time.’ Jera represents movement of spirit in time, through our hopes, dreams, fears and memories. We can "time travel" in thought, going forwards in time or backwards within our memories. This rune brings healing of the mind over time. It takes awhile to place experience within a new context and perceive things from a different angle. Jera represents the completion of a cycle, season or year or the eternal contrasts of opposites, which reflect a whole. Jera provides right timing under any circumstance, even when those circumstances are not the most favorable, in time this energy works its way to become what it is meant to be. Eventually, however, the energy of jera embodies all living things to conclude their natural life cycle as night follows day and life resulting into death and then rebirth for other manifestations to sustain themselves again.
From the historical rune poems about Jera we get: The Anglo Saxon rune poem translated tells us: "Year is a joy to men, when God, the holy King of Heaven, suffers the earth to bring forth shining fruits for rich and poor alike."
Jera is the rune of harvesting the outcome of past efforts made. Rewards for positive action / mindset through out time. Keywords:farming, waiting, seasons, harvest, activity of the mind, predicting outcome, patience, year, spiraling the flow of life.

Alternative Names Anglo-Friesian/Germanic: Isa Old Norse: Iss Old English: Is Other Names/Spellings: Isar, Isaz
Isa equates to the letter I in our common alphabet.
Isa means "ice" and is associated with winter, this energy tells us to prepare. It is time to go within and do inner works / cleansing in order to be ready for when the ice melts. Isa embodies the representation of the spiritual seeker, withdrawing his or her energy from society to come close to the self. Isa comes with inner judgments when we do not feel great about ourselves. It is the ego that does our "small talk" resulting into draining live force when we stop believing in our divinity. The soul is indestructible, it is the essence deep down inside that comes from the immaterial world into creation, the will that is sparked again by instinct when we remember who we truly are. Isa strips all the thought patterns that are not in line with our true selves. This energy centers our inner most being under divine will when we have no other choice than to surrender under natural law, remembering who we truly are before we can continue our pathways. Allow yourself to take your time spending some hours by yourself to structure your thoughts and empty your mind before your mind forces you to sit still within chaos.
From the historical rune poems about Isa we get: The Anglo Saxon rune poem translated tells us:"Ice is very cold and immeasurably slippery; it glistens as clear as glass and most like to gems; it is a floor wrought by the frost, fair to look upon."
Isa is the rune of concentrating things; keeping everything together for release in righteous circumstance. Keywords: stillness, contraction, concentration, ego-consciousness, self-control, immobility, clarity, coldness, self-observation.

Alternative Names Anglo-Friesian/Germanic: Naudiz Old Norse: Naudr, Nauthiz Old English: Nyd Other Names/Spellings: Naud, Naudhr, Naudir, Naudth, Nied
Nauthiz equates to the letter N in our common alphabet.
Nauthiz cautions you to do self research, do not rely on the work of others because this rune focuses on the inner Self. It is within our selves we must seek answers to place the energy of nauthiz, no other can possibly know your divine blueprint. It is in stillness that we discover our innermost needs, stillness that leaves words unspoken until they are fully understood. This Rune is sometimes referred to as “the great teacher.” Nauthiz allows us the opportunity to truly look deep within, open up all those doors in the hallways of our minds and come into understanding with ourselves. When we enter the unknown, we can always expect some form of chaos to occur as we are entering the new, unexplored parts of ourselves. It is here Nauthiz can teach us not to fall into fear, but to rather fall in love with some wild adventure waiting to see daylight, perhaps many moons ahead from the one present in our lives, be patient.
Nauthiz is the rune of enduring stressful change that comes with spiritual growth or invoked need to survive for greater purpose. Keywords: resistance, conflict, effort, necessity, urgency, hard work, need-fire, life lessons, creative friction, distress, force of growth, the consequence of past action, constraint, drama
